Is your prospect open to your opportunity. This is a step that most marketers don't do. They skip over it because of the excitement of potentially having someone join their team. I was like that when I first join my network marketing company. I wanted to tell everyone about the products because of my results until I learned better.
Horse Before The Buggy
Trying to close someone into your business opportunity before finding out if they are open is like putting the horse before the buggy. Many marketers miss out on potential business partners because of doing this. You may be trying to close someone who is not interested in your product, service, opportunity or you.
This brings on a lot of frustration and disappointment because of the rejection and being told no. This could have been prevented by finding out if the person is open to looking at some information.
Follow These Steps
First, find out if they are open. Just ask a question to find out if he's open.”He who asks the questions controls the conversation.” If the prospect is open to more information, don't be the one give that information. Point them to a tool.
Next, point them to a tool like a video, blog post, newsletter or article and let it do the presenting. You doing the presenting is not duplicatable to potential business partners. Do what duplicates not what works. You want any potential customer client or business partner to feel like this is something they can do. Set up a time to follow-up with them after viewing the information.
Third, you must follow-up with prospects. If there is any interest, ask them to join you on your journey. Some of you may think that's to straight forward but you won't know if you don't ask. They may have questions about the information.
Finally, use your upline. If your prospect have any questions, connect them with your upline. YOU DO NOT ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS!!! Do a three-way call to let your upline answer any of your prospects questions. Again this is duplicatable and will decrease any doubt of the prospect about if can do the same thing.
